Design Principles
#1 Do not kill my 3 year old
Our target audience are small children. Everything created must be made with the intention that it might get licked or ran into. Corner treatment and non-toxic finishes are going to be key.
#2 Durability
Similarly, kids are going to hang on, grab, rip, tear, push, jump, fall, crawl, climb, on literally everything. If there is a way it can break they will find it.
#3 Proportion
3-4 toddlers stacked on top of each other would equal my height at 6’, our proportions we typically design with will be heavily altered. Prototypes will be key throughout because 18” is much taller than you think.
#4 Follow the brand guide
As this will be a permanent fixture of Animales brand universe, each piece must feel as if it came directly from Animales. Incorporating logos, brand colors, and motifs will be key in this.
